Plastic Fantastic
Posted by Admin on Oct 7, 2012 in NEWS | 0 comments
British pilot Jeremy Roswell plans to fly a small private plane from Sydney to London this month, powered entirely by a sustainable fuel made from plastic waste. The fuel apparently uses technology to melt down the waste plastics in an oxygen-free, emissions-free process. Roswell’s diesel-engined Cessna should heat up the race to find a viable sustainable aviation fuel with a Fillipino company also researching waste plastics conversion whilst an American company is already developing high-octane aviation biofuel using agricultural feedstuffs and grains.
