Bombardier are set to unveil a mock-up of their new flagship jet, the Global 7500, at the MEBAA expo in Dubai. Claimed to be the world’s largest purpose-built business jet and retailing around the $100 million mark, the Global 7500 is actually the rebranded name for the original Global 7000, retitled earlier this year to reflect the increase in range demonstrated during certification, now travelling at 7,700 nm, a 400-nm boost from prior projections.
The mockup of the Global 7500 includes an entertainment lounge and a dining area, and in the aft cabin, master suite and en suite bath. The kitchen, with ample storage room for dinnerware and glassware, comes with high-end appliances enabling onboard preparation of gourmet meals.
High-flying passengers will be able to take advantage of Bombardier’s newly patented ‘Nuage seat’, designed for maximum comfort on globe-girdling flights which moves to fit your body as the seat changes position because it hugs the incumbent. If you need to relieve your wallet of a figure-hugging $100 million, then it appears that the Global 7500 should fit like a glove!
