Flying the heavy iron long-haul is about as challenging as it gets (apart from performing touch n’ go’s at Lukla ‘airport’), not least because you’re providing a service to paying passengers. The more engines and people aboard, the more complicated it is to fly from A to B but commercial aviation, of all shapes and sizes, faces a far harsher taskmaster than the weather: profit is king.
