Heston Aviation, which has spent over ten years’ growing and developing independent MROs such as FL Technics and Magnetic MRO, has recently acquired Aircraft Maintenance Services Australia (AMSA) and rebranded it to Heston MRO. The rebranding is claimed to be the first step in Heston’s strategy to create a regional alternative to global MRO brands.
“We are excited to start this journey in Australia, developing a customer driven third-party MRO organisation in the region. Our aim is to position Heston MRO as a true Total Care partner for small to mid-size airlines in the region,” says Jonas Butautis, partner, Heston Aviation.
Australia’s regional market contains specific inefficiencies due to global airlines posting their own foreign staff to support line operations in the country. According to Heston MRO CEO Adrian Beirne, the newly-rebranded company will fill the gaps in Australia’s current MRO offerings.
“With our current line maintenance presence in all major airports in Australia, we are the single largest independent MRO player in the country,” says Beirne. “We aim to use this as a base for further development of our MRO offerings and growing together with local and international customers.”
