TAE Executives Aim High
Air New Zealand has sold its Queensland aviation maintenance business TAE to senior management. The Amberley-based company is now seeking new horizons as its senior managers, led by chief executive Andrew Sanderson, complete the management buyout from Air New Zealand.
TAE has grown from a $100,000 investment 15 years ago into a $50 million aviation business that services everything from crop dusters to the A380. After the buyout, the company claims to be the largest 100 per cent Australian-owned aviation engineering services company.
The company employs 200 people across Australia, including 100 at its main maintenance base at Amberley. TAE recently hired 15 new employees as it prepares to expand its business.
